Completed Bus Shelter on The Meadows

The bus shelter on The Meadows, which was sited last year, is now completed and open to the public.

The bus shelter enhances safety and convenience for the community while signifying Wynyard Parish Council Hartlepool’s first significant collective delivery in collaboration with several stakeholders who have contributed to this project.

At the heart of this achievement is the generous support from the Red Gap Community Fund, whose grant covered a significant portion of the total costs. Taylor Wimpey completed the construction of the path leading to the bus shelter as part of their obligations within planning. Wynyard Park/Lichfields and Highways England have worked with us to ensure the shelter meets aesthetic and functional standards. Hartlepool Borough Council has also shown unwavering support, approving and participating in decisions that have brought this project to fruition.

Wynyard Parish Council Hartlepool is currently working with Bellway Homes and Wynyard Estates to bring something similar south of the A689, near the care home. Over time, we hope to have proper shelter for the public and school children throughout Wynyard (Hartlepool Borough).
